The New Year brings fresh ideas, new goals and hopes for your business! We have compiled our team’s most recent recommendations and tips for you to consider for 2023! Falling back on the basics of social media posting, while tying in innovative tactics will ensure success for you. Without further ado, here’s some of our 2023 social media tips!

Posting Ideas

January is a great time of year for events, sales, giveaways, contests, and collaborations. These fresh content categories will bring in new followers and clients while also getting them excited about your products. Collaborations are also a great opportunity to meet others within your business type and make new connections.

Another fun post idea for all companies is sharing your goals for the year. It gives an uplifting and exciting mood to your employees as well as customers. Having goals to reach towards keeps your company on track. As the year progresses, you can post about accomplishments for your business, and wrap it up with a year end review before the following year begins!

Posting Tips

We have a few tricks up our sleeve that can make posting easier for you, and will make your posts look professional and well thought out. First, there are a plethora of templates already created that you can plug your information into. For example, Canva has extensive options, pertaining to all kinds of topics or themes. For the purposes of the New Year, you can simply type in ‘New Year’ and see what comes up. Maybe you want to create a ‘We’re Open!’ graphic, or a graphic showcasing your company’s giveaway or sale. Just be sure to customize it enough, so it’s not recognizable enough should someone in your sphere use the same template.

A great way to get your posts seen, and target specific audiences is hashtags, hashtags, hashtags! Creating hashtags that consumers may be more likely to look up, or researching already popular hashtags can get your post seen by more people. Hashtags you can use for the New Year could include #newyearnewyou, #2023giveaway, or #2023goals

Lastly, trendy, and conversational captions are helpful to increase engagement and give a feel to what your post is about. Normally, New Year’s captions are happy, motivational, and have a sense of excitement for what’s to come. Here are some examples you can draw from for your own social media posts:

Keep In Mind

One important aspect to keep in mind when creating your New Year posts are theme and tone. Keeping your tone motivational, positive, and focused on self-improvement will help your posts do better and connect to more people.

Keeping important dates in mind is helpful when deciding what you’d like to post. In January, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and of course New Year’s Day are two great dates to focus on. It is also important to think ahead. A big holiday in February is Valentine’s Day. Planning posts early, or giving teasers the month prior will get your audience excited for what’s to come. You can also checkout a Holiday calendar to stay up to date on what you should be posting about.
