It gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. It also offers the employer the opportunity to bring new ideas and energy into the workplace, develop talent and potentially build a pipeline for future full-time employees.
Why get an internship Getting an internship is extremely important in many aspects. Some advantages of getting an internship are: job experience, access to a variety of tasks and departments, mentorships, help guide career goals, create a professional network, build a strong resume, and secure good references and recommendations. However, the main advantage is that they provide exposure to the real world. An internship shows first hand how that specific career and job function on the day to day. You get to explore that career and find out if you would want to do that for the rest of your life. Having an internship is also very beneficial when trying to get a job after college. If you got an internship in a specific career then it will be a lot easier for you to get a real job in that career because you will have already had experience in that specific job field that will set you apart from the other candidates applying for that job.

About Addison Huber Addison Huber is an Intern Account Assistant at Haute in Texas. Currently attending Boerne Champion High School where she is a senior and 4-year starting varsity soccer player. Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, going to the beach, and shopping.
